Final Paper Organic Chemistry

There are ~20-50 new pharmaceutical drugs released each year. You must choose a drug that has been released within the last 5 years and write about it. You can find your drug by doing a Google search.

• Times new Roman font 12 must be used.

• The beginning of your paper (page 1) should have the following information in the order listed:

1. your name

2. the school’s name

3. course name

4. date

5. Name of the drug your focusing on

6. Lewis structure of the drug

• The body of the paper must start with the name of the drug inbold.

• The body of the paper must contain between 900-1200 words (about 3 pages).

• The first ~1/2 of your paper should summarize the drug (uses, side effects, synthesis etc…)

• The second ~1/2 of your paper should explain how the first half of your paper relates to concepts that you learned about in the course (certain functional groups, reactions, organic properties, nomenclature etc ...)

• Works cited / references must be listed at the end of the paper.

• When you have completed your paper, copy and paste it into blackboard. On the blackboard site click “learning content” then “final paper material” then “final paper”. You can then paste your paper in that section and submit it.
