Personal Leadership Summary

Write a reflective paper that addresses the questions below. Use specific experiences from your work, volunteer, or community life to illustrate your points. (Outline Is Attached Below)

1.Write an introductory paragraph that explains why you have chosen this particular leadership approach and describe at least three key components of this theory or approach to leadership.

2.Choose at least one leadership approach “Trait Approach To Leadership“ would like to use to assess yourself as a leader. Describe yourself as a leader using this approach. This section should include a brief summary of the leadership assessment tool from the textbook (http://people.uncw.edu/nottinghamj/documents/slide…) that you have taken and its results, as well as how you interpret those results.

3. Looking at your leadership capabilities overall—thinking more broadly than in question 1—what do you believe are your greatest strengths and weaknesses as a leader? In this section you can expand beyond the one leadership approach you have chosen as your focus. Be sure to explain why you think these additional theories shed specific light on your behavior and thinking as a leader.

4.Based on your overall review of your leadership approach, what things would you like to do to improve your leadership abilities? What are your growing edges? What steps will you take to make these improvements happen? How are these improvements grounded in the specific leadership approach or theory you have chosen as your focus?

5.Reflecting back on all the questionnaires that you completed in this course, what did you learn about yourself? What surprised you? Did you agree with the results of the assessments? Explain. Using the results of these assessments, identify 10 leadership competencies that you feel you possess. Identify weak areas that need attention or opportunities for growth.

One key to a successful paper is your ability to demonstrate that you understand this leadership theory. Another important criterion for a successful paper is that you are consistent in your use of this theory or approach to analyze your present strengths and limits as a leader as well as prescribe a future program for improvement based upon it.

You should have in-text citations for any information you get from the book or from another source (you must have a citation for paraphrased and quoted material
