Ben Franklin’s 12 Rules of Management, by Blaine McCormick. 

This book reviews the life of Ben Franklin not as a politician but as a business manager. Franklin was one of the most influential and successful business owners and managers in Colonial America. He was so successful that he could retire at 42 to pursue other interests, including politics. The principles that he followed in succeeding are still applicable today. A lot can be gained about managing a business from reading this book. This book is recommended, especially for anyone who may someday want to run their own business.

b. A SUMMARY of the book: What is the book’s purpose, how is the subject covered, and what are the key points in the book. Give sufficient details of the book so that the reader has a fairly complete understanding of the book before you complete the following sections. 

c. DISCUSS THREE THINGS you learned from reading the book that you did not previously know about management. Explain each in detail with examples; discuss why each is important to understand as a manager; and how each will help you be a better manager? 

d. A SUMMARY of the paper-a brief summary (one or two paragraphs) stating the key learning points and their importance.
