Prepare a mini-research proposal examining a topic of interest in the transgender and non-binary field of research that you covered in this course. If your topic of interest was not covered during this class, you may propose an alternative, but before you start your assignment, be sure to email your faculty for approval of the topic.

Assume you have been given an opportunity to apply for a grant to pursue research in an area of transgender and/or non-binary groups of your choice. To receive this grant, you will need to prepare a short research proposal in which you present the following:

Title

The title should be brief, but descriptive, clearly indicating the subject of the investigation.

• Abstract
• One-page summary of proposed research
• Background of issue
• Review of literature that supports why your suggested research may be merited
• Study method and design that would be used
• Explain the research method to be used
• Population and recruitment
• Possible ethical concerns related to conducting the study
• References
