Discussing a vision for indirect procurement
The article “Revolutionising indirect procurement for the 2020s” looks at how some types of procurement could be changing. Read the article and perform the following Parrott and Cherry’s activities
Discussion Leader. Your job is to develop at least three possible discussion questions that you would discuss in a group that highlights the main points of the assigned reading. Give brief answers to your questions.
Here are some question that you can discuss and answer as a Team Leader
>> What makes the new vision for indirect procurement so powerful?

>> new approaches vs traditional approaches (Page 5: “Staying focused on the basics”)

Passage Master. Your job is to locate a few special passages that are important in the reading assignment. Devil’s Advocate. Your job is to challenge the ideas in the article by developing a list of critical, thoughtful questions and arguments that might be raised by critics of the authors or by those with different points of view.
Reporter. Write the summary of this discussion as if you were a reporter who observed the discussion takes place amongst these different roles. Address such questions such as: What did the team discuss? What did they agree/disagree on related to project procurement and what might change in the future? Could the information you reported on be used to create an infographic such as the graphic visual representations in the article?
